NOMAD

The Gothenburg Combo (SE)

Concert
Duration: 60 min

NOMAD is about travelling without moving. An inner nomadic movement. The guitar is probably the world's most nomadic instrument with branchings in almost every culture and genre. NOMAD is an unbroken musical journey through inner landscapes.

The musical inspiration comes from the extensive touring The Gothenburg Combo has done for more than 20 years. Influences from Gamelan, South American, West African and Chinese music are mixed with the Duo's roots in Minimalism, Spanish Guitar and Contemporary Classical Music.

Press

"A knockout Chamber music experience!" - Sörmlands Nyheter, Sweden

"...the young Swedish-Stars at times showed an almost acrobatic skill on the guitar. Their ingenuity knew no limits..." - Hersbrucker Zeitung, Germany

"This music is particularly suitable as a soundtrack for the listener's own imaginary Head-Cinema, and presents, to a certain extent, a demanding kind of ambient music that should be listened to as a whole. Which is why it makes no sense to highlight individual sections of the work. So: listen and draw your own imaginary travel pictures. It is worth it!" - Harald Wittig, Akustik Gitarre
